American Action Fund for Blind Children and Adults (AAF)This is a free lending library of books in braille and Twin Vision format through the mail, located in Baltimore, Maryland.

American Council of the Blind (ACB)
ACB is a major source of information about blindness.

American Foundation for the Blind (AFB)
AFB provides information on aids, appliances, employment, guide dogs, and library services.

American Printing House for the Blind
This is a source for adapted educational and daily living products.

Braille Bookstore
The Braille Bookstore is a source for books, gifts, toys, games, and housewares in braille.

Large Print Books for Small Children
Compiled by the Virginia Beach Public Library to meet the recurring requests of parents for very large print for very young readers. The child may have impaired vision, a reading disability, or some other reason why very large letters are helpful. However, there aren’t any specific large print publishers for picture books the way there are for older children and adults. At the same time, for artistic reasons, many picture books do have very large printing.

National Braille Press
This is a source for braille, large print, and Twin Vision books.

National Federation of the Blind (NFB)
NFB provides advocacy services and information about blindness, scholarships, aids, and adaptive technologies.

National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS)
NLS administers a free library program of braille and audio materials circulated free mail.

Seedlings Braille Books for Children
Seedlings Braille Books for Children is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to increasing the opportunity for literacy by providing high quality, low cost braille books for children.

Web Accessibility in Mind (Webaim)
Webaim covers web page accessibility issues for people with limited vision or who are blind.
