Scotch Plaines Public Library and Fanwood Memorial Library
Together with partners, these two libraries produced a customer service training video primarily for library staff to help them serve individuals with autism and their families more effectively.
Special Needs Programming
The partnership between the Public Library of Charlotte & Mecklenburg County and the Autism Society of North Carolina's Mecklenburg County Chapter, training videos have been produced by PLCMC staff members who have been planning and presenting programming specific to children with special needs and their families since 2008. While the programming is geared for all types of special needs, the primary audience for this type of program is children on the autism spectrum.
