This site offers help for children with chronic, life-threatening illnesses or disabilities. Disability Resources on the Internet This site promotes and improves awareness, availability, and accessibility information for people with disabilities. ERIC Clearninghouse on Disabilities and Gifted Education (ERIC EC) ERIC focuses on professional literature, information, and resources related individuals who have disabilities. Great Lakes ADA and Accessible IT Center, Chicago, IL Resource center on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Library Media & PR This site includes two helpful resources—Disabilities Clip Art and the tip sheet, “Serving Patrons Who Have Limited Mobility.” National Dissemination Center on Children and Youth with Disabilities (NICHCY) NICHCY provides information on disabilities and disability-related issues. Parent Advocacy Coalition for Educational Rights (PACER) Center PACER is an advocacy group for parents and families of children with disabilities. University of Washington DO-IT (Disabilities, Opportunities, Internet Work and Technology) University of Washington program funded by the National Science Foundation which provides many services promoting the use of electronic and information technology to maximize independence. VSA Arts (formerly Very Special Arts) VSA Arts provides programs in creative arts for individuals with physical and mental disabilities.
