AMNH Guide

One-page librarian guide from the American Museum of Natural History titled “10 AMNH Clips to Spark Summer Conversations About Dinosaurs.” The page provides discussion prompts to use before and after showing dinosaur video clips, including prediction questions, reflection prompts (See, Think, Wonder), and optional individual responses. A green “Quick Start” section outlines steps: ask a question, play the clip with captions, then discuss. Tips encourage Think-Pair-Share and curiosity. A roaring feathered Tyrannosaurus illustration appears on the right, with AMNH and Collaborative Summer Library Program “Unearth a Story” branding at the top.Librarian Guide

Dinosaurs 101 for Librarians Webinar Recording

Watch a recording of “Dinosaurs 101 for Librarians,” a webinar on the core concepts and techniques used by the American Museum of Natural History in teaching paleontology to young learners. Recorded March 27, 2026.

Raoul Seroy, Children and Family Learning Educator at the Museum, guided participants through the foundational concepts to connect with young learners and get them excited about paleontology. Raoul shared how AMNH teaches large and abstract ideas such as exploring deep time and fossilization to elementary aged students and foster lifelong learning and a sense of wonder for the natural world.

This live session, hosted by AMNH and part of a new professional development webinar series for CSLP members, featured the presentation by Raoul followed by an interactive Q&A session with participants.
