Why CSLP?

The Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that exists to make summer programming meaningful and accessible to all library patrons. We provide the tools and resources needed to make running a summer program affordable and successful for all participating libraries.

Our Board of Directors, Committee Chairs, State Representatives, and Committee Members are library staff volunteers from across the country. All funds raised are used to enhance and expand future programs. We do not fund individual state library organizations, or let outside contracts dictate what services or resources we provide. We are a membership driven organization, where everyone has an opportunity to participate and shape the future of summer programming.

Guiding Principle: Inclusion for All

CSLP is committed to providing resources, materials, and opportunities that reflect the diversity of our communities including all races, ethnicities, national origins, genders, and all other identities.

CSLP FAQs

How long can I use the artwork and slogans?

With the 2017 program, Build a Better World, CSLP changed the way it acquires artwork for its programs. CSLP now fully owns the artwork and makes it available to its member libraries in our Summer Program Archives.  Your current year’s manual access code will get you access to the archive.  All artwork and slogans from 2017 forward may be used year round.

So go ahead and use CSLP artwork to create the visual look for that winter program you have been thinking about!

How do I access the manual?

CSLP uses an “access code” authentication method to provide access to the manual.

If you’re in a member state, your manual access code will be sent to you by your state representative in the fall. If you’re in a non-member state, you will need to purchase your own manual from our shop.  If you select the online version, a manual access code will be sent in your confirmation email. Once you have your access code, simply click on the “Manual Downloads” tab on the CSLP website, enter your code, and proceed to the artwork and programming ideas.  Remember to look at our Rules of Use.

My state isn’t a member of CSLP; can my library still join?

Yes! The yearly cost of membership for an individual library is $20. The cost of membership is added to your online order based on your address.  For those in non-member states, if you order more than once from our store, this fee will be added to your order every time. We’re happy to remove it from your order if you contact us at custserv@cslpreads.org

How do I log in and do I need to?

You no longer need to login to access the manual or to place an order in our shop.  When you’re in the online shop, click the Log In button in the top right corner and you can enter your credentials.  Logging in can have advantages, such as you can review your history of orders to see quantities, items ordered, etc.  If you would like an account to start saving your history, you can Register Here.  We recommend that a generic library email account is used to register so that this can get passed on when staff transition.

How do I pay my invoice?

Currently, you can pay your invoice by check (please include your invoice number!), by calling 866-657-8556 and paying with a credit card or via your Quickbooks invoice.  Your invoice through Quickbooks allows payment via credit card or bank transfer.  Contact us if you would like a link to your Quickbooks invoice in order to make payment this way.

Checks can be mailed to:

I need to return an item, what should I do?

You may return an item within 30 days of receipt.  The shipping will be at your expense with a few exceptions (CSLP made an error with your shipment, or similar). Please contact us if you need to make a return.  We recommend shipping back to us using tracking.

If your order was damaged during shipping, please take photos of the damage and notify us as soon as you can at custserv@cslpreads.org

I need a W9, where can I find one?

CSLP W9

Can I place an order directly with a PO?

We cannot accept POs as an order. All orders must be placed in our online store. We recommend that you create your cart, then select the Get a Quote radio button under the credit card processing area during checkout.  This will generate a quote document you can use to get authorization for a PO.  Once you get approval, contact us and we will process your order. You can then pay by credit card or ask us to invoice your organization.

I need a voucher or PO signed, how can I have this happen?

Please email your voucher or PO for signature to bookkeeping@cslpreads.org

I would like to track my shipment, where can I find this information?

Your tracking number will be sent to you in your shipment notification. If you can’t find this, please contact us at custserv@cslpreads.org (Please note: Our primary shipping agent is USPS. They only retain shipping records for a limited period of time after your package has left the warehouse. Please contact us as soon as you become concerned that your shipment has not arrived.)

Do I need a lift-gate?

You might need a lift gate service if you placed a large order arriving by freight shipment and you don’t have a loading dock. Please talk to our warehouse if you have questions about this service: 888-910-2757.

If you have other questions, please email CustServ@cslpreads.org
